Welders on the hire fleet powered directly from an electrical supply provide the most reliable and easy way to weld. The 600amp air cooled welders can provide massive welding power though more often are used as the power source for air carbon arc gouging, the 400amp welders are multi-process welders so can also be used for air carbon arc gouging but can also be used for MMA welding, TIG welding and MIG welding when a wire feeder unit is added. The 400amp welders are a great alternative to the diesel welders as they are not susceptable to the problems engines can experience operating in dirty site environments, the electric welders also have a great duty cycle. The 200amp multiphase invertors are the best 200amp inverter on the market, the Miller Maxstar STR's are able to operate using 110v, 240v or 415v by simply changing the power supply plug. The Maxstars have great welding power and durability. The air cooled welders are more suited to DIY or small one off industrial welding tasks but are a very cost efficient option.
