Our hire fleet has an extensive range of Plasma cutters ranging from our very small 8mm/12mm single phase plasma cutters to the large 120amp Plasma's. Plasma cutting was originally invented to cut metals that flame cutting could not, such as stainless steel, Aluminium and Copper but when compared to other methods of cutting steel, the plasma cutter provides a very neat and accurate cut for mild steel too. As with air arc, the plasma stream is focused on a very small area melting the metal while the gas blows the molten metal away. In addition to our standard range of plasma cutters, we also have on the hire fleet 120amp plasmas with inbuilt compressors meaning only one machine to get up and running.
